Studying is probably the reason you're coming to Delft, but a lot of people aren't fulfilled by just following lectures and studying. Your time as a student is the period in which you gain experience and get to know yourself.
The Koornbeurs is the perfect place for that. Have you always wanted to organise a drum ‘n’ bass party or gain contacts within the rock- and metalscene? Do you want to create cool lightshows, be the sound engineer for a live band, learn to pour the perfect beer or make a weird banana peel pie for the tea attic? Then you should drop by the Koornbeurs.

Music
Music is one of the core parts of the association.
Of course we have some parties with DJ's and a lot of beer, but we always make sure to keep a spot open for live bands, cellar-jams and karaokes. Every month we organise a metalcafé and one or two themed band nights.
We also have enough members willing to bring their own instruments and jam with eachother. That is why we organise a Battle of the Bands each year!
Purpose
Like every association in Delft, the Koornbeurs has a purpose. For the Koornbeurs it is:
The purpose of the association is to aid in the personal and societal comprehension of young people, to be a meeting place for young people, to stimulate a critical and active attitude towards society and to aid in the battle against social injustice and for a better society
This leads to activities like election interviews with members and debate evenings with political parties, museum excursions, participating in climate marches, making repairs at a petting zoo and volunteering at festivals.
